Kep – Our Location

Kep is a small town on the Cambodian coastline known for its tranquility and beautiful combination of mountain, jungle, and ocean views. Similar to its neighboring town of Kampot, Kep’s roots lie in the country’s French colonial era, offering a unique glimpse into history through its architectural relics. The peaceful town rests off the beaten tourist path, providing those who visit a breath of fresh air.

How to Get Here

There are buses to Kep (or nearby Kampot) available from a variety of destinations. Tickets can be easily arranged from local hotels / guesthouses or tour companies. Bus companies to check out include Phnom Penh Sorya Transport and Cambodia Post VIP Van.

From Kep bus station, the Tuk-Tuk to the Vagabond Temple takes a few minutes and should cost $3-4

From Phnom Penh

We can arrange a taxi to pick you up from Phnom Penh airport and bring you to Vagabond Temple. The ride takes approximately three hours by taxi and costs around $45-$50.

There are buses and mini-vans that have daily Phnom Penh—Kep (and vice versa) schedules. The approximate cost of a ticket is $7-$10.

From Siem Reap

Day and night buses to Kep are available from $16-$19 which take around 8-10 hours.

The 6-8 hour taxi ride costs around $120.

From Sihanoukville

The 3 hour taxi ride will cost around $40.

There are regular buses/mini-vans to Kep costing around $7.

From Vietnam

the Ha Tien Border is located 30 – 40 minute drive from the retreat. The taxi ride will cost around $20 which can be organized by us prior to your journey. There are

Via Kampot

You can also take a bus to Kampot as a destination. A 35 minute tuk-tuk ride costing around $10-$15, a 45 minute mini-bus ride for around $4, or a 25 minute moto-taxi ride for around $3-$6 will get you from Kampot to Kep.
